About Yumani
Hi there! You're probably looking to learn more about Yumani's origin story and its founder. That's me, Nicholas Mounouchos.
I'm currently studying at the University of Guelph, expected to graduate in 2022 with a Bachelor of Business Commerce, and a major in Real Estate and Housing and a minor in Entrepreneurship.
Before university, I had a minorly successful junior hockey career, but after one too many serious concussions, my playing career was over. I was left looking for new avenues to express my creative and entrepreneurial nature.
During university, balancing budgets for tuition and bills while trying to stay away from working in a fast food outlet made me think that there had to be a better way to make money.
I remember saying to my father, “I wish there were jobs I could do as a student in my spare time and earn money while still studying.”
As soon as the words left my mouth, I knew what I had to do. The gig economy was exploding around me. Services like Uber provided new and flexible ways to work.

I began to think of all the ways students could make money; dog walking, lawn mowing, window cleaning, handyman work, and assembling furniture.
Yumani began to take shape. From there, things moved quickly and Yumani turned from an idea into a reality.
